Institute for Technology & Management, Chennai requested MOHAN Foundation to give a guest lecture on Organ Donation for their students. The Transplant Coordinator Ms.Veena of MOHAN Foundation conducted two sessions where she explained the process for pledging a donor card, the importance of donating ones organs and tissues after death and mainly the concept of Brain Death. She also shared the real life stories of families who came forward and donated their loved ones organs altruistically and gave live to almost five to seven people. The staff & students interacted well and clarified their doubts related to organ and tissue donation. One of the student’s who was suffering from renal diseases earlier came forward and said “I would always support this cause because I have felt the pain of organ failures and only those donors can relieve us from pain and give us peace”. 82 students including staff supported the noble cause Organ Donation by pledging for a “Donor Card”.
