On 29th January 2025, Team MOHAN foundation conducted an awareness session with the nursing students from Samarthya nursing Institute. The Objective of the activity was to share the knowledge via public education on organ donation. In the session important role of NGOs to reach the message to the common people was discussed. The activity also discussed various myths that are seen frequently. We also discussed about brain stem death and how it is different from the state of coma. Legal frame work and State government guidelines were also brought into notice. Various aspects like who can donate organs, what organs can be donated, tissue and organ donation etc. were also mentioned
The session ended with a question-and-answer session where various queries were answered. Total 14 nursing students attended the session.
