On January 16, 2025, the MOHAN Foundation team conducted an awareness session for the nursing staff and family members of patients at Sanjeevni Hospital. The objective of the session was to educate the public about organ donation. The discussion highlighted the important role NGOs play in spreading awareness about organ donation to the wider community.
The session also addressed common myths surrounding organ donation and clarified the distinction between brain stem death and coma. Legal frameworks and state government guidelines were shared, along with information on who can donate organs, which organs can be donated, and the importance of tissue donation.
The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where various queries were addressed. A total of 20 participants attended the session, engaging actively throughout.
