On September, 24th 2025, Government Medical Collage & Hospital & MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, organized an Organ and Body Donation Pledge Drive at CGHS Wellness Center, Seminary Hills, Nagpur, on the occasion of Swasthya Nari, Sashakta Pariwar Abhiyan.
An information desk was set up by GMCH and MOHAN Foundation and was actively managed by Ms. Neha Sailwar. The desk served as a central point for interaction, where visitors could learn about the importance of organ and body donation, clarify their doubts, and take pledges. Ms. Neha guided participants through the pledge process, explained the significance of their commitment, and addressed queries related to organ and body donation. To further extend awareness beyond the immediate engagement, MOHAN Foundation brochures were distributed among the participants.
The event concluded with a felicitation and group photo session, capturing the spirit of collective commitment towards organ donation. Around 60 people participated in the drive, of which 15 individuals pledged their organs and 2 individuals pledged for body donation, reflecting a growing sense of awareness and responsibility among the participants.
GMCH and MOHAN Foundation sincerely acknowledge the support of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (CGHS), Nagpur, for providing this platform to reach more people and spread awareness about organ and body donation. Such initiatives play a crucial role in fostering a culture of donation and creating a positive social impact.
