On 05th March 2014, DG Vaishnav College, Arumbakkam conducted an awareness programme on Deceased Organ Donation. The programme was initiated by Department of Visual Communication for their students and the programme was held at department Auditorium. Mrs. Vasanthi, HOD introduced MOHAN Foundation and requested to give an awareness talk on Deceased Organ Donation.
Mr. Prakash K, Transplant Coordinator gave a presentation on the Concepts of Organ Donation. His talk covered the following points:
Totally 60 students picked donor card and supported the cause. At the end of the programme one of the students delivered a vote of thanks and asked the transplant coordinator to conduct another programme during their college festival in future.
