MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Satyanarayana of Arun Kidney Center to participate in the rally organized on World Kidney Day at Vijayawada on March 12, 2015. The rally was organized by Arun Kidney Center and students from different colleges actively participated in the rally.
The rally was organized on World Kidney Day to create awareness about organ donation. There were about 400 students and volunteers that have actively participated in the event. Ms. Shanti of MOHAN Foundation interacted with the students on the importance of deceased organ donation and myths surrounding organ donation and distributed information brochures to the participants.
The rally began from PWD Grounds and proceeded till Government Veterinary Hospital. The rally was flagged off by the Commissioner of Police and Dr. Ammanna of Arun Kidney Center that addressed media on the importance of organ donation. The students enthusiastically distributed information brochures, displayed placards to the public and shouted slogans on organ donation.
We thank Dr. Ammanna and volunteers of Arun Kidney Center for organizing this event to promote organ donation. We also thank all the young participants that have actively participated in this event to promote the noble cause of organ donation.
