MOHAN Foundation participates in Purple Fest, a First-of-its-kind inclusive Festival bringing together persons with disabilities from across the country

  • The MOHAN Foundation put up an information stall at the Purple Fest Panjim, Goa, which was organised by the Office of the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Goa, in collaboration with the Directorate of Social Welfare, Office of the State Commissioner for PwDs (Goa), Goa Tourism Development Corporation, Information & Publicity Department (Goa) and Entertainment Society of Goa.

     

    This was the first of its kind, inclusive festival that welcomed and celebrated people with disabilities.The Purple Fest aimed to showcase how we can come together to create a welcoming and inclusive world for everyone.

     

    The festival had interesting panel discussions, artistic live performances, large exhibitions, immersive experience zones, and more.

     

    The stall was set up for 3 days, from January 6 - 8, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., where Mr. Gabriel distributed flyers and explained the concept of organ donation to the people visiting the stall. Around 500 fliers were distributed, and 136 people pledged for organ donation.
