MOHAN Foundation participated in a panel discussion on 9th November,2024. Dr. Manish Shrigiriwar who is the Medical Superintendent of AIIMS-Nagpur organized panel discussion with Heads of Registered Transplant Centres along with their BSD committee members, Intensivist & Transplant coordinators to increase Deceased organ donation activates in Nagpur region.
The topic of the discussion wew as follows-
1) Current Scenario of Deceased Organ donation in Vidharbha Region.
2) Identification of Brain Stem Death Patient- Challenges & Way forward.
3) Maintenance of Deceased Donor –Challenges & way forward.
4) Approach towards the donor Family- Transplant Coordinators perspective
The Chief guest was Hon’ble District Collector & Magistrate, Nagpur, Dr. Vipin Itankar, inaugurated the function. Dr. Amol Bhawane, Assistant Professor Nephrology AIIMS address the welcome Note.
Dr. Manish Balwani the Secretary of ISOT, was the moderator for Panel discussion in which the current scenario of Deceased Organ donation in Vidharbha Region.
