Dr Hemal spoke of the work of MOHAN Foundation and the helpline. She expressed that to make body donation popular, there needs to be more efforts to explain the value of the donation and the simplicity of the procedures. A standard registration format and easy access to the form will help a person to take up the choice to be a donor. Further the procedure upon the demise, should also be streamlined, at this moment many families struggle to find the contact person from the medical college to coordinate for the donation.
Procedures followed in medical colleges and special cases were also discussed.
MOHAN Foundation thanks the Organizing Committee including Dr Saranya R and Dr Vijaykishan B and others for this opportunity.
