On 18th December 2013, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness programme at Hemodialysis Unit, Rajiv Gandhi Govt. General Hospital (RGGGH) Chennai. Mr. Prakash K. and Mr. Jeyabal Transplant Coordinators, MOHAN Foundation, Chennai conducted the programme.
Mr. Prakash K delivered a talk on Organ Donation and in his talk he concentrated on the following topics: Activities of MOHAN Foundation, Concepts of Organ Donation, Types of Donors, Organs and tissues that can be donated after natural and brain death, Importance of Donor Card and Transplant coordinator training programme.
In the programme 25 hemodialysis technicians participated and 20 of them picked donor cards and were ready to support for good cause. At the end of the talk one of the Senior Staff Nurses requested us to conduct a session at Intensive Renal Care Unit ward of RGGGH.
