On April 14, 2020, MOHAN Foundation was requested to conduct an online awareness session on organ donation for the students of YUVA, CII Young Indians. The session was conducted through zoom by Ms Pallavi Kumar.
The session was organized through an initiative by Dr. Shefali Sood, Co-Chair of the Gift An Organ Initiative of the Delhi chapter of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Yi (Young Indians). CII Yi is partnering with MF to take forward the cause of organ donation. YUVA is the student wing of Yi, where they involve them in leadership, personal development and nation building activities.
The students were taken through a presentation on the basics of organ donation, brain death, myths on organ donation, law in India and role of MOHAN Foundation.
Students typed out their queries and Ms Shefali moderated the discussion. A lively conversation followed the same.
About 25 students attended the session.
