


On 28th Sept 2017, MOHAN Foundation and Jupiter Hospital representatives were invited by the NSS coordinator at Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College, Vashi for conducting awareness for their NSS students.
Mrs.Jaya Jairam started with a brief introduction about MOHAN Foundation and its activities. She explained to the students how Organ Transplant is a life-saving medical advancement and it is very much possible through organ donations. She shared with them her own example of how kidney transplant saved her life.
Subsequently, Mr.Aniruddha Kulkarni, a senior transplant coordinator at Jupiter Hospital explained the concept of brain death and difference from cardiac death. He went on to explain what all organs and tissues can be donated and how many lives can thus be saved.
We are thankful to Mr.Aniruddha Kulkarni for the collaborative efforts at creating awareness. We wish to convey our sincere gratitude to the NSS Coordinator at Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College for taking up Organ donation awareness as an objective for the NSS students.
