On 29th Sept 2017, Mrs.Jaya Jairam was invited by Mr.Ankit Dhawan, a Life member of MOHAN Foundation and his father Capt. Ashok Dhawan of MASSA Maritime Academy, CBD Belapur, for creating organ donation awareness among merchant navy officers and teachers.
Mrs. Jaya Jairam shared a brief introduction about MOHAN Foundation and its activities. She then spoke about what is Organ Donation, why is it needed, who can be donors and the process of how organ donation and transplantation is done. She also discussed the various barriers, myths and facts relating to organ donation.
Many queries were asked and answered satisfactorily.
