  MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Powar, RTO officer, Nagpur branch to conduct an awareness session on organ donation for drivers who apply for vehicle registration and driving License on 6 November, 2015.

  Mr. Bulu Behera delivered a talk on Organ donation. In his talk he explained the following points-

  • Importance and need of Organ donation:
  • Types of donations –Live and deceased donation
  • Difference between Natural death, Coma and Brain Death.
  • THO Act and myths related to Organ donation
  • Eye donation, skin donation & whole body donation
  • Importance of Donor card, Helpline number and website.

  It was a very interactive session. 35 drivers were present during the talk. The Participants asked the following questions:-

  If any person death in cause of accident, which organ & tissue can be donated?

  Whom to contact for Eye donation & How much time will be taken?
