On the occasion of International Senior Citizen Day, which was on 1st October 2023.Dr. Raju Mishra, President of ‘Jestha Nagrik Pratishthan’ invited MOHAN Foundation to conduct workshop on Organ Donation. Mr. Dewang Chaya, Ambassador at MOHAN Foundation & Mrs. Veena Wathore, Project Manager conducted the session followed by answering queries by the audience present.
The program started off with the welcome speech by Dr. Raju Mishra, & the felicitation of senior Citizen members, who completed 75 years of age.
Dewang Chaya began the session with current scenario of Organ donation rate & the gap between demand & supply of Organs. He also explained the need of body donation, its process & the necessary documents required for Body donation at Govt. Hospital.
Mrs. Veena answered the queries raised by audiences. She explained the registration process of Organ Transplant & process to pledge for Organ & Body donation.
This program was specially arranged only for the selected 50 senior citizens, who were interested to pledge for the Organ & body donation. Online pledge link was shared with them.
