MOHAN Foundation Conducts Organ Donation Awareness Talk at UPHC Mantripukhri

  • On January 27, 2026, MOHAN Foundation conducted an organ donation awareness talk at the Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC), Mantripukhri, Imphal East, Manipur. The session was facilitated by Ms. Moirangthem Priya Devi, Program Executive, along with Mr. Elangbam Paringanba, Program Executive, MOHAN Foundation.

     

    The programme was organized in coordination with Mr. Kiran, Program Head – AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy).

     

    Ms. Priya initiated the session by introducing the MOHAN Foundation team and providing an overview of the concept and significance of organ donation. She explained the difference between living and deceased organ donation and discussed the organs and tissues that can be donated both during life and after death. Emphasizing the importance of deceased organ donation, she highlighted its potential to offer a new lease on life to patients suffering from end-stage organ failure.

     

    The session also addressed common myths and misconceptions related to organ donation, which were clarified through factual and evidence-based explanations. Informational pamphlets were distributed to reinforce key messages and encourage continued awareness.

     

    Nearly 20 participants attended the session and gained valuable insights into organ donation and its life-saving impact.
