On, 4th May, 2015 an awareness session was conducted for the students of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector-26(TM), Chandigarh. Around 100 students participated and they were from 12th standard. The Principal and teachers really supports the cause and one of the teacher suggested that we should have it every year for new batches.
The students were also very interested to know and asked many questions about the same. They were given a presentation on Organ donation, importance of deceased donation, concepts of brain Death by Nilakshi and the information brouchers were also distributed among the students.
Students were shown donor cards and some of them picked it also, as they were 18.The students were asked by the Program Coordinator to talk about organ donation with their family and friends if they are convinced with the cause.
