On, 4th May, 2015 an awareness session was conducted for the students of Government High School, Sector-19, Chandigarh. Around 50 students participated and they were from 10th standard. The principal and the teachers of the school were really very supportive.
The session was started by asking the students about blood donation, eye donation and majority of the students were aware. The session was really interactive one and the students were really enthusiastic to learn more about the cause and said that, they will going to promote organ donation at their respective places.
They were given a presentation on Brain Death, Organ donation and THOA, 1994 and the queries were answered by the Program Coordinator Nilakshi. They were shown Donor cards and the students demanded the cards for their parents also.
