MOHAN Foundation Conducted an Awareness Talk at State Level Youth Red Cross Training Camp, Panchkula

  • On 1st February 2018, MOHAN Foundation was invited by the Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society – Haryana State Branch, Chandigarh conducted an awareness talk at State Level Youth Red Cross Training Camp held at Laxmi Bhawan, Panchkula.

    In this camp, students were being provided an opportunity of community living and knowledge of Red Cross, General Health Awareness and First Aid Training, Role of Volunteers in Social Welfare activities. Around 250 students, 16 counsellors from 17 districts of Haryana and Faculty Members of Red Cross – Haryana participated in the session.

    Participants were given an introduction and presentation on Organ Donation and Brain Death by Ms. Deepika Arora.

    All aspects were like what is Organ Donation, necessity and Importance of Organ Donation, Concept of Brain Death, THO Act and Myths related to Organ Donation, how to pledge for organ donation were covered.

    Participants were very enthusiastic and asked many queries related to the transplantation process. Participants were highly satisfied and motivated with the noble cause by the MOHAN Foundation. Mostly all the participants pledged to donate their organs and wish to share.
