MOHAN Foundation Acknowledged at the Felicitation Ceremony of Times Organ Donation Drive

  • On September 3, 2021, the Times Organ Donation Drive (an initiative by Times of India) in partnership with Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital felicitated some of the corporates who have been supporting the cause of organ donation in India.

     

    Times Organ Donation Drive is an initiative by The Times of India, in partnership with Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, to create awareness on organ donation and encourage people to sign up as organ donors. MOHAN Foundation is TOI’s key partner NGO in the Times Organ Donation Drive.

     

    The Felicitation ceremony was held at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and it was also made virtual through ZOOM for the participants who could not attend the face to face ceremony. Ms Sonali Bendre Behl (Actress) was the Guest of honour.

     

    Ms. Pallavi Kumar, Executive Director-MOHAN Foundation-Delhi NCR was invited to enlighten the distinguished guests and delegates on MOHAN Foundation’s role and activities to promote organ donation and to increase the rate of organ donation in India.

     

    MOHAN Foundation is grateful and proud to be associated with the 9 out of 11 companies, who were felicitated during the ceremony. Dalmia Bharat Limited, Edelweiss Tokyo Life Insurance Co. Ltd, Ethos Watch Boutique, Sanofi Healthcare Pvt Ltd, SBI Foundation, Tata Trusts, Verma Medicine Research Trust, Worley Services India Pvt Ltd, Willis Towers Watson India Pvt Ltd, Ganesh Housing Corporation Ltd, Prakash Asphalting’s & Toll Highways (PATH) India Ltd, were the companies who were facilitated for their contribution towards spreading awareness on organ donation. Many of these corporates have been partnering with MOHAN Foundation for years helping us raise public awareness, train medical and para medical staff in making organ donations happen in their hospitals, starting work in newer states or simply supporting innovative ways to raise public consciousness in organ donation - like the Ang Data Smarak in Jaipur ( the first of its kind public art installation in organ donation).

     

    Bigwigs from various corporates mentioned and expressed their gratitude towards MOHAN Foundation for their extra ordinary work in the field of organ donation. To name a few:

    • Mr. Sundeep Kumar, Chief Executive Officer-Dalmia Bharat Limited said the company supported MOHAN Foundation in various ways to spread the organ donation message and had recently helped the NGO to build the unique “Angdata Samarak” in Jaipur, Rajasthan to promote organ donation.
    • Mr. R.K Krishna Kumar, Trustee-Tata Trusts mentioned MOHAN Foundation as their old and long standing NGO Partner in spreading the lifesaving cause of organ donation.
    • Ms. Manjula Kalyanasundaram- Managing Director-SBI Foundation said that they were extremely happy to join hands with MOHAN Foundation as they are doing tremendous job in the field of organ donation and said that they would like to continue their partnership with them.
    • Senior Manager from Worley Services India Pvt Ltd said they have been supporting MOHAN Foundation in paying the salaries of transplant coordinators who are doing extra ordinary and most needed work of counselling the families and relatives of brain dead persons at the hospitals for donating their loved one’s organs to save many lives.
