MFJCF-AU Awareness talk on Organ Donation at SS Jain Subodh PG College, Jaipur, Rajasthan

  • On 23rd February 2019, MOHAN Foundation Jaipur Citizen Forum-Navjeevan team conducted an awareness talk on Organ Donation at SS Jain Subodh PG College, Rambagh Circle, Jaipur, Rajasthan with the help of AU Small Finance Bank.

     

    S.S. Jain Subodh PG (Autonomous) College, Jaipur was established under the auspices of S.S. Jain Subodh Shiksha Samiti in 1954 with an aim to provide value based higher education and contribute towards holistic development of the society. The Shiksha Samiti itself was established in 1918 and will be completing 100 years of its successful journey in 2018. Mr. PC Jain and Mr. Pavan Kumar Dubey represented the MFJCF team. Mr KB Sharma (Principal) and Mr. Ashok (Vice Principal) along with 70 students attended the session and got sensitized about the noble cause. 

     

    Mr. PC Jain gave a presentation and covered the following points.

    1. Difference between organ donation and brain death.

    2. Concept of organ donation.

    3. Myths about organ donation in India

     

    Some questions were asked and answered by MFJCF team members.

    1. Where do we contact for kidney transplant?

    2 How long it will take to transplant an organ from a deceased donor to a recipient?

    3 Which organs we can donate in cardiac death?

     

    After the session all the students picked up donor cards and posed with the organ donation message board and banners for the photographs and promised to spread the awareness among friends and family.
