On 23rd January 2018, Super Specialty Hospital, Nagpur, invited MOHAN Foundation to speak about organ donation to the outpatients. Dr. Madhukar Parchand special duty incharge of Super Specialty Hospital arranged the stall where MOHAN Foundation displayed information brochures, donor card standees and a banner. Mr. Bulu Behera, Transplant coordinator of MOHAN Foundation managed the stall.
Information given to outpatients:
v Type of death and who can donate organ
v What can be donated after brain death, after Natural Death and while living
v How and where is waitlist for organ failure patient
v Importance of donor card
v MOHAN Foundation activities, Helpline number & MOHAN Foundation website.
30 patients & relatives visited the stall. After understanding about organ donation, 13 patients & relatives took consent form & 3 patients signed consent form & took the donor cards, other will sign consent form after discussing with their family.
