On 24th September 2017, MOHAN Foundation was invited to set an information desk at Durga Temple, Narendra Nagar, Nagpur. It was as a part of event organizes to improve awareness about eye donation and organ donation.
Mr. Bulu Behera, transplant coordinator explained the purpose, importance, complex issues in deceased organ donation, concept of death, different forms of death, cultural religious barriers, THO Act, myths related organ donation and importance of donor card. There were information brochures, donor cards posters and banners at the desk.
There were about 30 visitors to the information desk, 6 visitors pledged to donate organs and picked their donor cards and information brochures.
MOHAN Foundation thanks Mr. Sagar, Secretary of Durga temple and committee members the for this kind support in organizing this awareness activity for this noble cause.
