An information desk and organ donation pledge desk were set up at a blood donation camp organised by Dr. R B Patil’s Hospital (Padmashri recipient who established North Karnataka’s first cancer care hospital) at Tata Motors in Dharwad on 21st September 2021. District Hospital Dharwad, MOHAN Foundation, Indian Red Cross Dharwad and Jeevasarthakathe came together to organise the event. The donation camp was part of the Tata Volunteering Week Celebrations.
MOHAN Foundation was represented by Mrs. Sheetal Mundada and Jeevasarthakathe by Mr. Manoj, both Transplant Coordinators.
All the senior officials of the Tata Motors plant came forward to pledge for organ donation followed by other staff members. Around 200 members participated in the blood donation camp and among them 168 of them pledged for organ donation.
