    • What are the challenges faced in promoting organ donation in India?

    • What made you decide to take up work in the field of organ donation?

Mr. Abhinav Jain then went on to share that they would be more than happy to enable more such interactions with corporates and entrepreneurs, on a larger scale.

"How can we keep our kidneys healthy" was a question asked by the audience to Ms. Jairam. She responded by sharing that for good kidney health, one needed to maintain good mental health, have a balanced diet, consume low salt, have sufficient water, go for routine health checkups, take medications routinely and stay physically fit.

In her final message to the audience, she shared the ABCD of organ donation -

A stood for 'Anybody can donate'

B stood for 'Brain death', in which situation, one can donate organs

C stood for 'Charcha or a Conversation' with the family members - which is an important step to normalise the conversation around the difficult topic

D stood for 'Daan or Donation of organs is the most supreme form of giving'

She ended by asking the audience to live good lives and take good care of their body; but when the time came and they are no more, she appealed to them to not burn or bury the body as it will turn the organs to ashes or mud - she appealed to them to donate their organs so that can continue to live on this earth through someone else.

Some feedback from the audience is given below -

"It is rightly said that 'No one has become poor by giving'.
