“Gift of Life” Awareness Session – Prabodhan Vidyalaya, Imamwada, Nagpur

  • On March 23, 2026, MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur conducted a “Gift of Life” Organ Donation Awareness Session at Prabodhan Vidyalaya, Imamwada, Nagpur, with the objective of educating students about organ donation and its life-saving impact.

    On behalf of MOHAN Foundation, Ms. Neha Sailwar facilitated the session. She shared real-life organ donation stories to help students better understand the emotional and practical aspects of donation and its impact on recipients’ lives.

    During the session, Ms. Neha provided detailed information on key concepts such as brain stem death and circulatory death, explaining the differences in a simple and understandable manner. She also explained the provisions of the Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Act (THOTA) and discussed the current scenario of organ donation in India.

    She emphasized that one donor can save up to eight lives & enhance many, highlighting the importance of organ donation as a life-saving humanitarian act.

    The session was interactive, with students actively asking questions. Ms. Neha Sailwar addressed and resolved all the queries, helping to clear doubts and misconceptions related to organ donation.


    Around 50 students participated in the session, making it an engaging and impactful awareness program that encouraged students to understand and support the cause of organ donation.
