MOHAN Foundation was invited by Dr. D. T. Powar, Regional Transport Officer, Nagpur to conduct an awareness session on organ donation for drivers who apply for vehicles registration and driving license on 5th April 2016.
Mr. Bulu Behera delivered a talk on Organ donation. Using a presentation, Bulu described the need for donation, and when and what can be donated. He spoke about brain death, coma and the law on organ donation. He explained the importance of a donor card and also about information sources on organ donation.
It was a very interactive session. Approximately 26 drivers were presented during the talk. 6 drivers took the consent form .They want to sign consent form after discussing with their family.

Can people donate organs after natural death?
