MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session on organ donation for drivers at the RTO. This was on the request of Dr. D. T. Powar, Regional Transport Officer, Geripeth, Nagpur. The talk was addressed to drivers who apply for vehicles registration and driving license and was conducted on 1st July 2016.
Mr. Bulu Behera delivered a talk on Organ Donation. In his talk he explained the following points:-
It was a very interactive session. Approximately 18 drivers were presented during the talk. 2 drivers took the donor card.
The audience asked the following questions:-
Can elderly people donate organs?
What is the time duration for body handovers to family?
Whom to contact for organ donation?
Organ donation is legal?
