On 28th June 2016, all drivers at the Regional Transport Office in Nagpur were surprised when a transplant coordinator of MOHAN Foundation started speaking to them about organ donation.
This novel idea to use the waiting time as an information sharing time to promote a nobel cause was by initiated by Dr. D. T. Powar, Regional Transport Officer, Giripeth, Nagpur. He requested MOHAN Foundation to conduct an awareness session on organ donation for drivers who apply for vehicles registration and driving license.
Mr. Bulu Behera delivered a talk on Organ Donation. In his talk he explained the need, why, when, where and how of organ donation. He also spoke of the THO Act and myths related to Organ donation and mentioned a few cases of donation that were done in the city.
It was a very interactive session. Approximately 30 drivers were present during the talk. 2 drivers took the donor card.

Can a Living person donate a liver?
Will a Pancreas regenerate?
Where is MOHAN Foundation office in Nagpur?
Is MOHAN Foundation a fully private or government undertaking?
