To commemorate World Blood Donors Day, MOHAN Foundation organized a Blood Donation and Organ Donation Camp on 14.06.2017 at Pothencode Block Panchayat, Kazhakootam, Trivandrum.
The event was organized in association with two NGOs Samagram Health Foundation and Rajiv Gandhi Rapid Blood Cells of India.
Inaugural Function
The event started with inaugural function, in which Telephone directory of Rapid Blood Cell of India was released. The telephone directory contains more than 500 blood donors contact number with name and blood group. This directory also includes a page highlighting MOHAN Foundations’ Organ Donation Toll free number. These telephone directories were distributed to 50 village panchayat office in Trivandrum.
Blood and Organ Donation camp
Two mobile vans and Organ Donation Kiosk were put up. People who visited the blood donation camp were directed to visit Organ Donation stall. More than 100 people visited the stall and nearly 75 of them pledged Donor card. KNOS donor cards and brochures were distributed. 30 of them donated their blood.
