On May 12, 2025, the Nursing Hostel of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Nagpur, came alive with warmth and celebration to mark World Nurses Day. The event honored the extraordinary dedication and service of nurses, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale—the founder of modern nursing—whose legacy of compassion and discipline continues to inspire healthcare professionals around the world.
The celebration was enriched by the presence of esteemed dignitaries and heartfelt addresses that acknowledged the tireless efforts of nursing staff. Among the highlights of the programme was a moving thematic skit on organ donation, performed by the dedicated nurses of Trauma Care Center (ICU2). Through their graceful and powerful performance, they conveyed the life-saving importance of organ donation, blending art and advocacy with deep emotional impact. The audience, comprising over 500 attendees, responded with overwhelming appreciation and support.
