Awareness talk on organ donation at Bassi Mansarkhedi Panchayat

  On 07 Aug 2018 MOHAN Foundation Jaipur Citizen Forum – Navjeevan team conducted an awareness talk on organ donation at Mansarkhedi Panchayat, Bassi Jaipur to make villagers and students aware about the noble cause. Ms. Kamla Chaudhari, Dr. Hivani Sharma and Mr. Pavan Kumar Dubey represented the MFJCF team.

   

  Mrs. Indra Devi (Sarpanch), Mr. Ramesh Chand Meena (Gram Sevak) along with 70 villagers and students of class 11 and 12th attended the session and got the useful information about organ donation.

   

  Ms. Kamla Chaudhari gave a presentation with the help of videos based on organ donation and explained many things to audience like

  • Reason of brain death
  • Misconception about organ donation
  • Brief introduction of donors.

   

  Some questions were also asked by villagers which were answered by members.

  • If my parents need a kidney what should I do then?
  • Could I give my one kidney to my friend?
  • Which organs we can donate after brain death?
  • What is the difference between cardiac and brain death?

   

  After the program the villagers picked up the donor cards and promised to spread awareness organ donation.
