Awareness talk on organ donation at Arch College

  • On 09 Aug 2018MOHAN Foundation Jaipur Citizen Forum-Navjeevan team conducted an awareness talk on organ donation at ARCH College, Malviya Nagar, Jaipur.

    The ARCH College of Design and Business is a design College in Jaipur, India. It was set up in the year 2000 under the management of the Arch Educational Society by its Founder & Director Ms. Archana Surana.

    Dr. Amla Batra and Mr. Roshan Bahadur represented the MFJCF team and Dr. Amla Batra gave presentation on behalf of MFJCF.

    Dr. Manish Jain (Principal) and Dr. Sharad Garg (Vice Principal) attended the session with more than 400 designer students and got the vital information about organ donation.

    Dr. Amla Batra gave presentation and covered following points.

    1. Deceased organ donation.
    2. Brain and cardiac death
    3. Need and supply of organs
    4. Current scenario of organ donation in India.

    Some questions were asked and answered by MFJCF members.

    1. What is the minimum age to donate organs?
    2. I am afraid that somebody will sell my organs?
    3. Is there any law to regulate organ transplant in India?

    100 students and faculty members picked up donor cards and posed with organ donation message board.
