Awareness sessions on Eye Donation Conducted at PHC Pimpalshet, Jawhar, Palghar

  • On May 23 2026 an Eye Donation Awareness Session was held at Primary Health Center (PHC) Pimpalshet with the participation of approximately 32 attendees. The purpose of the session was to raise awareness about the significance of eye donation and to educate attendees on its positive societal impact.

     

    During the session, comprehensive information was provided on the advantages of eye donation, the procedures involved, and the critical role of corneal transplantation in restoring vision for individuals afflicted with corneal blindness. Attendees were also briefed on how eye donation can transform the lives of visually impaired individuals.

     

    Interactive discussions took place during the session, allowing participants to actively engage and seek clarification on any queries related to eye donation. Common myths and misconceptions about eye donation were addressed to foster a better understanding and a positive attitude among the participants. They were encouraged to spread the awareness message within their families and communities.

     

    The awareness session was effectively conducted with the support and collaboration of the staff and attendees at Pimpalshet PHC.
