Awareness session conducted at RTO office Borivali, Mumbai

  • On March 24, 2026 an awareness session on eye and organ donation was conducted at the RTO Borivali office to sensitize participants about the importance of donation and its life-saving impact. The session aimed to create awareness among the general public as well as police personnel present at the office.

     A total of 30 participants, including police personnel, attended the session. The discussion focused on the need for organ and eye donation, the shortage of donors, and how individuals can contribute to this noble cause. Key aspects such as the donation process, eligibility, and the importance of pledging as a donor were explained in a simple and informative manner.

    The session also covered important legal aspects of organ donation, including consent procedures and regulations. Participants were informed about the differences between cardiac death and brain stem death, along with the types of cases in which organ and eye donation is possible. These explanations helped in clarifying common doubts and improving understanding among the attendees.

    The session helped in increasing awareness and encouraging participants to consider organ and eye donation as a meaningful way to save lives.
