


20th, December, 2014 MOHAN Foundation Chandigarh conducted an awareness session for the students of Polytechnic College for Women, Sector-10. The team was invited to conduct a lecture on Organ Donation, which was the part of a 7 day long NSS camps for the college students. They invited the Foundation as advised by the Liaison Officer. The NSS in charge Mrs.Dewan supports the cause and wished to get associated with it in future and asked to do a poster making competition on the same, during the camp.
Around 100 students participated in the program and were given a presentation on the phenomenon of Brain Death and the process of organ donation through a presentation and videos by Mr.Sudhir Dewan and the Program Coordinator Nilakshi. The myths and misconception associated with organ donation were also discussed and got cleared. The donor cards were shown to them.
After the presentation students discussed the whole process of organ retrieval and transplantation. Around 80 cards were taken by the students. It was an interesting session in which a lot of information was shared with the students. They asked good questions and showed interest to engage in the activities of the organization in future.
