Awareness on Organ Donation by MOHAN Foundation at Swasth NariSashakt Parivar Abhiyaan Program Organized by NHM at AGMC & GBP Hospital, Agartala, Tripura

  • On September 17, 2025, MOHAN Foundation participated in the Swasth Nari–Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan program organized by the National Health Mission (NHM), Government of Tripura, to mark the birthday of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The event took place at the premises of Agartala Government Medical College & Govind Ballabh Pant (AGMC & GBP) Hospital, Kunjaban, Agartala.

     

    MOHAN Foundation was represented by Mr. Vincent Debbarma (Project Lead, Tripura) and Ms. Nipa Modak (Program Executive, Tripura).

     

    The Swasth Nari–Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan, celebrated across the country, focuses on women’s health and empowerment, recognizing women’s well-being as the cornerstone of a healthy and prosperous family. In Tripura, the program was graced by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, who inaugurated various stalls showcasing state and national initiatives for women’s welfare. The campaign emphasized anemia prevention, maternal health, menstrual hygiene, and lifestyle-related issues among women of all age groups.

     

    MOHAN Foundation Tripura set up an information desk alongside the blood bank of AGMC & GBP Hospital to spread awareness on organ and blood donation. Informational leaflets on organ donation were distributed to the attendees.

     

    The program witnessed a participation of around 3,000 people, including college students, doctors, nurses, political leaders, party workers, the general public from different parts of Tripura, and staff from various government departments.
