

On October 16, 2025, MOHAN Foundation, Tripura, organized an awareness program on organ donation at Rajnagar Government High School, Gandhigram, in collaboration with the school authorities.
MOHAN Foundation was represented by Mr. Vincent Debbarma (Project Lead, Tripura) and Ms. Nipa Modak (Program Executive, Tripura).
The program commenced at 2:30 p.m. with an inaugural address by the Headmistress, who warmly welcomed the team and emphasized the importance of creating awareness about organ donation among students and the community.
Mr. Vincent Debbarma delivered an informative session on organ donation, introducing MOHAN Foundation and its mission. He explained the concept and importance of organ donation, the types of donors, and the organs and tissues that can be donated. He also discussed the difference between brain death and coma, elaborated on the process of corneal donation, and highlighted key provisions of the Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Act, 1994.
Informational leaflets on organ donation were distributed to the participants to enhance their understanding.
A total of 15 students participated in the session, showing great interest and curiosity throughout the discussion.
