An Organ Donation Awareness Session was successfully conducted at Dyal Singh College, Karnal on July 20, 2026, in collaboration with the District Red Cross Society. The initiative aimed to educate students and faculty about the importance of organ donation and dispel common myths surrounding the subject.
The MF-SRDF was privileged to be invited by Mr. Kulbir Malik, Secretary, District Red Cross Society, Karnal, to conduct the session for NSS and NCC cadets. Mrs. Ashima Gakhar, Principal of Dyal Singh College, warmly welcomed the Chandigarh team.
The session was inaugurated by Mrs. Sangeeta Jamwal, Head of Operations at SRDF-MF, who shared the mission and vision of the foundation. She emphasized organ donation as the ultimate “gift of life” and highlighted the vital role of youth in championing this noble cause. She also presented the current status of organ donation in India, comparing it with global benchmarks and discussing policy frameworks such as the opt-out system.

The cadets and faculty actively participated, asking insightful questions and expressing their support. The Secretary and Principal encouraged all cadets to spread awareness among family, friends, and teachers. Mr. Kulbir Malik emphasized the importance of family consent in finalizing organ donation pledges.
