  On August 08^th, 2023, MOHAN Foundation was invited to conduct an awareness session on organ donation for the 2^nd batch, staff at KDDL Company. Mr. Deepak, Marketing Head reached out to Mrs. Ranjini Shankar MS Project Manager MOHAN Foundation, to conduct an awareness session on Organ donation.

  Mrs. Ranjini Shankar MS, Project Manager, accompanied by Mr. Surya Prakash, Program coordinator, MOHAN Foundation conducted the talk at KDDL Company Peenya Bengaluru.                                                                                                       

  Mrs. Ranjini, initiated the session by introducing MOHAN Foundation, its mission, vision and kept the audience engaged throughout the session. The following concepts were explained in detail.

  • Concepts of organ and tissue donation,
  • The types of death i.e., cardiac death and brain death
  • Brain Death and declaration concept
  • Procedure of deceased organ donation and live organ donation.
  • Procedure of tissue donation
  • Barriers in the process of organ donation
  • Myths and facts related to organ donation and its impact on the society
  • Role of Jeevasarthakathe
  • Importance of Donor card

  Mrs. Ranjini Shankar MS gave a brief insight into MOHAN Foundation courses and motivated the staff to pledge for organ donation

  Around 178 members attended the session. All 178 of them supported the cause by taking the pledge for organ donation.

  Brochures and donor cards were distributed at the end of the session
