  Mr. Nagaraj invited MOHAN Foundation to conduct an interactive session on organ donation for Vittal International Institute of Ophthalmology, students and staff as well. MOHAN Foundation team organized awareness session on 05^th August 2023 at 05pm in the evening.

  MOHAN Foundation was represented by Mrs.Ranjini Shankar M S, Project Manager and Mr. Surya Prakash, Program Coordinator.

  The following topics were discussed in detail:

  • Introduction about Mohan Foundation
  • Brain Stem Death
  • Circulatory Death
  • Jeevasarthakathe and its role
  • Organ allocation system in Karnataka
  • The Burden of Organ failure & need for organ donation
  • Importance of a Donor Card

  Mrs. Ranjini Shankar MS gave a brief insight into MOHAN Foundation courses and motivated the staff to pledge for organ donation

  Around 170 members attended the session. All of them supported the cause by taking the pledge for organ donation.

  Brochures and donor cards were distributed at the end of the session
