On 10th October 2019, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Dr. Anirudha Chakarbarti, the Area Medical Officer and Deputy CMO of Western Coalfields Limited to deliver an awareness talk on organ donation at its office premises in Wani, Maharashtra.
Dr. Ravi Wankhede, Director of MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur was invited as the speaker for the event. Dr. Chakarbarti introduced Dr. Wankhede to the audience and gave a brief introduction on organ donation and its requirement. The program began by 11.00 AM and around 125 participants were present.
Dr. Wankhede, in his talk introduced MOHAN Foundation and explained organ and tissue donation. He made an elaborate presentation on the subject, covering a wide range of topics. He explained the Transplantation of Human Organs Act which included the offences and penalties related to the malpractices in organ donation as well.

All their doubts were clarified by Dr. Ravi Wankhede. 25 participants registered as organ donors and received their donor cards and the program came to an end at 2 PM.
