  On 9^th March 2023, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Ms. Savita Saini, NSS Program Officer to conduct an awareness talk on organ donation for their NSS volunteers at Shri Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector - 26 Chandigarh.  Around 100 students attended the session.

   

  Ms. Neha Sharma addressed the audience telling them about how important is organ donation and it provides the opportunity to improve the quality of life and save lives of others. It is the greatest gift one can ever give.

   

  Ms. Neha Sharma Katoch began the session by explaining the full form of MOHAN. She informed the audience that MOHAN is not someone’s name but an acronym. She explained the basic concepts of organ donation and transplantation with the help of a simple PowerPoint presentation. The following topics were explained in detail:

  Ms. Neha also explained the process of eye donation. She informed the participants that eye donation is a simple procedure that can be even done at home. She motivated the participants to begin with promoting eye donation in their respective areas.

   

  The session was very interactive. The entire group got motivated and convinced to support organ donation. They would love to share their wish with their families and also respect for the body after death.
