Awareness Talk on Organ Donation at School of Nursing, Sriram Chandra Bhanja Medical College & Hospital, Cuttack

  On 10^th November 2017, MOHAN Foundation, Cuttack organised an awareness session with the staffs and students of School of Nursing, Sriram Chandra Bhanja (S.C.B.) Medical College & Hospital, Cuttack.

   

  Ms. Anindita Sabath, Transplant Coordinator, took up the session. The following topics were covered in the 1 hour session:

  • Brief history of MOHAN Foundation
  • What is organ donation?
  • When can organs be donated?
  • Who can donate organs?
  • Why should one donate organs?
  • What is brain stem death?
  • What are the organs and tissues that can be donated?
  • Myths & misconceptions related to organ donation.

   

  It was an interactive session as all the students were equally participating in the session. They discussed the topics and responded actively to all the questions.
