  On 12^th May 2022, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Guru Harikrishan Model School, Sector-38 Chandigarh to conduct an awareness talk on organ donation for their employees. Around 40 employees & 2 teachers attended the session.

   

  Participants were given an introduction and presentation on organ donation and brain death by Ms. Neha Sharma Katoch.

   

  In this talk, she explained the following points: -

  • Organs that can be donated during life and after death
  • The transplant waiting list in India
  • Brain death
  • Difference between brain death and coma
  • Contraindications to organ donation

  • Eye Donation

   

  All of them took the donor cards. The entire group got motivated and convinced to support organ donation. All of them took the donor cards. They would love to share their wish with their families and also respect for the body after death.  Brochures were also given to the participants.
