On May 24, 2025, MOHAN Foundation participated in a public sensitization event at Dongargarh as part of Sangoshti, a celebration commemorating the 134th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and the 2568th Trividh Buddha Jayanti. The program was organized by Payya–Mitta Youth at Pragyagiri.
The event was graced by Bhadant Sanghratna Manke, President of Payya-Mitta Sangh, Bharat, as the chief guest. A key highlight of the program was a session on body donation conducted by Dr. Yogendra Bansod, Professor at NKP Salve Medical College.
Veena, Project Manager at MOHAN Foundation, set up an information desk and sensitized attendees on the importance of organ donation and its life-saving potential. She engaged with the public, addressing queries and encouraging pledges to donate organs and bodies in alignment with humanitarian and spiritual values.
Inspired by the teachings of Lord Buddha, particularly Daan Paramita—the perfection of giving—ten individuals came forward to pledge their bodies and organs for donation. This powerful act symbolized a growing awareness of organ donation as a selfless contribution to the well-being of others.
In his address, the President of Payya-Mitta Sangh called upon the community to engage in humanitarian efforts and work toward a more compassionate society. He emphasized the Buddhist principles of Ahimsa (non-violence), Maitri (brotherhood), Karuna (compassion), and Sheel (integrity) as the cornerstones of a just and peaceful world.
The event drew an audience of nearly 250 participants and concluded on an inspiring note, highlighting the spirit of generosity and social responsibility. MOHAN Foundation’s involvement helped foster meaningful dialogue around body and organ donation, reinforcing its role as a noble act of service and legacy.
