The Indian Red Cross Society, Haryana State Branch, organized a District Youth Red Cross Training Camp at Post Graduate Government College for Women, Sector 14, Panchkula, from 23rd to 27th February 2026. As part of the camp, on 24th February 2026, an Awareness Session on Organ Donation was conducted to educate and inspire young volunteers about the importance of organ donation in saving lives.
The camp brought together youth from various colleges across the district. The session provided a comprehensive overview of organ donation through the following key discussions:
Interactive discussions allowed participants to clarify doubts and share their perspectives. Motivational stories of organ recipients and donor families highlighted the transformative impact of organ donation.
Around 100 youth participants responded enthusiastically, pledging to spread awareness in their communities and act as ambassadors of this noble cause. The session successfully instilled a sense of responsibility among the volunteers and reinforced the humanitarian values of the Red Cross movement.
In conclusion, the Awareness Session on Organ Donation proved to be a meaningful initiative that not only educated the youth but also empowered them to contribute actively to society. By involving young volunteers in such efforts, the Indian Red Cross Society continues to uphold its mission of compassion, service, and community welfare.
