SDM Hospital in Dharwad, invited MOHAN Foundation and Jeevasarthakathe to conduct an awareness session on organ donation, at the hospital premises on 20th February 2020. Doctors and paramedical staff of the hospital were the audience.
Dr. Sunil Malagi and Dr. Gunavati Neurologists of SDM were the main speakers at the event. Also present were Dr. Nagaraj Naik and Dr. Mahesh Bennekal, Nephrologists, Mr. Manoj Nayak from Jeeveasarthakathe and Mrs. Sheetal Mundada of MOHAN Foundation.
The welcome speech delivered by Dr Naik. Dr. Malagi briefly spoke about brain death and Dr. Gunavati explained donor management. Mr. Manoj Nayak shared the role of Jeevasarthakathe and Mrs. Sheetal Mundada, elaborated on the concept of grief counseling and the role of MOHAN Foundation.
The event came to a close with Dr. Mahesh Bennekal delivering the vote of thanks. Around 50 enthusiastic people attended the highly interactive session. MOHAN Foundation is thankful to SDM Hospital for organising an event of this kind.
