On 13th April,2022, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session at Dr.BR Ambedkar Open University along with Nephrology Department of Gandhi Hospital Hyderabad. Dr.Bhanu Prakash-Transplant Coordinator- Hyderabad was the key resource person.
Dr.Prakash introduced MOHAN foundation to the participants and kept them engaged throughout the session. He explained the concepts of Organ Donation and transplantation, Criteria for organ donation, Grief counselling and highlighted the need and importance of organ donation in detail. In addition to this, he explained about brain death, Myths associated with organ donation, eye donation and body donation.
Around 100 people attended the session and pledged to donate organs. Donor cards and brochures were distributed at the end of the session.
