Awareness Session on Organ Donation at CNI Program Office, Nagpur

  • On July 29, 2025, MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur, conducted an organ donation awareness session at the CNI Program Office, Nagpur. It was organized in collaboration with Churches of India. Mr. Mozes Gaur.

    The awareness session was facilitated by Ms. Veena Wathore, Project Manager at MOHAN Foundation, along with Ms. Neha Sailwar, Program Executive. Through a detailed PowerPoint presentation, key topics were covered including the need for organ donation, success stories, existing challenges, and areas where awareness is still lacking. The session emphasized ethical donation practices, addressed common misconceptions, and highlighted the life-saving impact of organ and tissue donation.

    A Q&A session followed the presentation, where participants actively engaged by raising thoughtful questions and sharing their views. The discussion turned out to be fruitful and insightful, with several valuable suggestions received from the attendees on how to further promote organ donation awareness at the community level.

    As a positive outcome of the session, 6 individuals pledged to donate their organs, reflecting a growing sense of awareness and social responsibility among the participants. The session was attended by 30 participants.

    MOHAN Foundation sincerely acknowledges the support of the CNI Program Office for organizing this session and providing a platform to connect with more individuals. This engagement marks another step forward in the Foundation’s mission to promote informed choices and foster a culture of donation through education and open dialogue.
